Celebrating the Graduates

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela

This year the OneLife-IHER high school enrolled 55 students ranging from the ages of middle school all the way to adults from the community of San Nicolas, Comayagua, Honduras and five graduated from high school!

We are so grateful to our teachers who have sacrificed much and taught so much wisdom to the students in the local community. Because of them, 5 students graduated from middle school, 18 students graduated from 7th grade, 12 students graduated from 8th grade, 1 student graduated from 9th grade, 15 students graduated from 10th grade, and 4 students graduated from 11th grade.

In 2016, we started the feeding center and we’re excited to share that we now have 30 young children who are fed nutritional food from Monday to Friday coupled with educational, enriching activities. By partnering with the mothers of the community, we’ve created a safe haven for them and their children. These mothers rotate responsibility in preparing food for their children, learning cooking, cleaning and nutrition skills along the way fostering an environment of hospitality.

Through our benevolence ministry we were able to provide shoes and clothing for the children at the feeding center. We are grateful for the ministry Dresses From the Heart located in Conway,
Arkansas, that helped us give 130 dresses to the little girls in the local community.

Thank you to our OneLife Partners who have made this possible!
