Building a Vibrant Community
Environments matter. By relieving the tensions of the struggle for attaining the basic needs of food, water, shelter, and electricity, families can move beyond the necessities to refine their crafts and achieve their goals and dreams.
We partner with the local community to provide the necessary basic needs for a healthy physical environment such as clean drinking water, electricity, and plumbing.

The Water Project
July 2016
Over the course of a couple of months, we partnered with the local community to raise funds to provide fresh drinking water to the homes of more than 3600 individuals. We were able to assist in covering the remaining funds.
Before.
Prior to the water project, many families walked up to five miles to the local well to raise up gallons of water to carry on their backs to their homes.
After.
Once the plumbing was finished, more than 3600 individuals opened a faucet only a few feet away from their casas to receive fresh, cold drinking water for the first time ever.
By eliminating this hurdle, families were given an opportunity to reallocate their time for education, entrepreneurship, rest, and community.
The Electricity Project
July 2016
In conjunction with the water project, we were able to partner with the local community to also provide electricity to families living in the dark. Since the electricity project, there has been an influx of micro-enterprises that have sprung up because of electricity.
Women have begun selling handmade popsicles and other frozen goods from their casas after being able to purchase a small freezer. Other micro-enterprises include tailors, seamstresses, and bakers.
The Feeding Center
July 2016
Over the course of this year, children in San Nicolas were consistently fed nutritious meals for the first time ever and hospitality began to flourish. By partnering with the mothers of the community, OneLife created a safe haven. These mothers rotated responsibility in preparing food for their children learning cooking, cleaning, and nutrition skills. An environment of hospitality, compassion, and love flourished from these exercises!
Shoes & Clothing Assistance
July 2016
By purchasing shoes from the local shoe man coupled with donated shoes from the State, OneLife through the benevolence ministry was able to give away shoes to more than 600 children and their families and school uniforms and supplies.
